This is one of my daughter's favorite manga, and I'm currently on volume 3. Imagine Square Enix meets Studio Ghibli. The art is gorgeous and the characters are so endearing. I love it so much.

A good day for Disney Music with the Grammy Nominations. Star Wars Outlaws, Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, and music for Test Track all received nods.

Nowhere close to complete and it needs a fair amount of refining, but I'm pretty happy with the way this little mousling warrior is coming along.

As a very modern individual, I spent a chunk of this evening playing Grim Fandango. Remastered.

In a bit of good news, it appears based on this statement from the family that the announcement may have been inaccurate.

We've been diving into horror films as we approach Halloween. On Monday we watched "Totally Killer" which is essentially "Back to the Future" given a horror make over. Loved it. It brings the 80s nostalgia, while calling out some of the problematic aspects of the decade. Plus, it's just pure fun.

Of course, there were games like Sonic, but I can't even begin to count the hours I spent playing Kid Chameleon back in the day. Did all those hours translate into beating the game? Absolutely not. But I still loved it.

Currently listening to the audiobook of Tim Curry's memoir "Vagabond." I think it's the best way to experience it, hearing him tell the stories in his own brilliant voice.

I started reading Dead Dead Demon's Dededede Destruction recently. I'm sorta fascinated by the fact that apocalyptic happenings are taking place in the story, but after the initial panic everyone sorta settles into their normal mundane lives again. It's a sci-fi setting, but still believable.

Another little sharpie and crayon bit of fan art: It's Happi from Gacha Fever!

Watched this Walt Disney rarity/oddity this evening. It's a 1922 educational silent film called Tommy Tucker's Tooth created by Disney's Laugh-O-Grams studios in Kansas City.

It's no surprise, given how much I enjoyed The Last Ronin, but Kevin Eastman and Tom Waltz's "The Last Ronin: Lost Years" is ridiculously good.

Gacha Fever is a fun little survivors like game I've started playing recently. Gameplay is a blast and I love the characters and brilliant colors.

There's a new blog post coming out on Make Mine Music tomorrow, so I thought it was worth writing a few thoughts on the blog and my books.
