Just discovered the #SewAndTell feed!

Last week's prompt was scraps, which, you can imagine I end up with a lot of in the studio! Here's just some of the scrap projects I've done in the last year.

Reminiscing about my sewing space when I started sewing.

I kinda miss those days. I don't miss having to cut on the floor though! 😆

One of the problems a sewing teacher has is how do you help people at their machine without causing irreparable damage to your back.

I decided to get myself a small light stool that I can move about with in the studio.

It was boring though. Good job I am a sewing teacher - it now sparks joy!

With some people confessing to the number and length of UFOs maybe we should do one of those super fun and not all disheartening monthly challenges.

We could call it Finish it February.

Yes, I'm even procrastinating a challenge to finish things. I'm just that good at procrastination. 😆

Being a strong teacher isn't all glamour!

All materials are provided and I like to give people the choice so they'll actually use what they make.

This means a lot of pre cutting. Today is fabric for cushions.

Is it boring? Yes. 😆

You know how they say perfection is the enemy of done?

I've just found a dress I started 10 years ago but thought I had mucked up so put it in a "I'll get to that later" pile.

It's absolutely grand. Apart from being too small and the sleeves are nowhere to be found! 🤦🏻‍♀️

I spent ages today doing a time lapse of the embroidery machine in action. Did I hit record? Of course I didn't.
