I’m Jewish. I lived in New York for a decade. I am very, very concerned about antisemitism.

I have no doubt that Zohran Mamdani would fight to protect my life and my rights. I have no doubt the ADL has entirely failed to protect me and my family from fascists.

I know where my allegiance lies.

⚖️ There is a separate investigation ongoing into whether Lafarge should also be charged with complicity in crimes against humanity.

@ecchr.bsky.social has an excellent resource on the Lafarge case that tells you everything you need to know. More here: www.ecchr.eu/fileadmin/Q_...

⚖️ Investigative reporting found that Lafarge paid €3,130,000 to the groups in "security payments" to enable movement of its employees and €1,900,000 to suppliers associated with IS to purchase raw materials.

The charges are financing terrorist enterprises and violating intl financial sanctions.

In December, my colleague Obai and I wrote for @timep.bsky.social on why these broad country-wide determinations by European nations on Syria are counter-productive and almost certainly a violation of international law.

Almost a year later, the same rings true. timep.org/2024/12/18/l...
