Thank you for this! I've just done it! I'm also trying to find a similar way to tell a new app/platform (I'm not picky about which one, just as long as it doesn't support fascism) which podcasts I've already listened to on Spotify. Does anyone know if this is a thing?

To be fair, the Cuomo campaign was also wildly racist and cancerously unfunny, so you can see why they might have taken it at face value

If your stories in any way intersect with economic injustice (and so many criminal justice stories do) check out the Economic Hardship Reporting Project’s pitch portal economichardship.org/pitch-portal/ And happy birthday!

Have you tried posting on any of the Crown Heights FB groups? If you don’t have access I’d be happy to share on your behalf. They can sometimes connect owners with lost items

The Economic Hardship Reporting Project supports independent journalists as they forward fresh narratives about inequality. EHRP’s high-quality journalism is then co-published with mainstream media outlets, to help readers understand and address systemic hardship. economichardship.org

Ehrenreich founded @economichardship.bsky.social to address the fact that poor and working class journalists struggle to tell the stories that matter to our people for lack of support and resources.

EHRP has been such a huge help to me and so many others; I wish we had a million more of them!

I noticed this! And it prompted me to slow myself down and do my best to say the names in Kiswahili pronunciation in my mind as I was reading.

Funny how "blue no matter who" means we all have to shut up and support war criminals but the first time someone to the left of Ronald Reagan wins a primary it's all, "We didn't mean ANYONE."

THANK YOU!!! I wore one of your t-shirts outside my polling site today and people loved it! Two even took photos. I was so grateful for this simple, direct, compelling messaging while chatting with voters.

Exactly! Which is why the NYTimes pointing to these endorsements as evidence of his broad progressive support just shows that the NYTimes editorial board is completely clueless, and in this instance, blessedly wrong

@thecity.nyc’s election coverage and their tools have been unbelievably helpful! Also so beautiful to see what an impact local journalism can have on enabling voters to understand what’s at stake, the process, and their rights!

Thank you! Whenever I call my Dem reps I’m pleading with them to do things like stop supplying arms that are killing children, protect immigrants from being disappeared, or prevent healthcare from being taken away from old people. But like, these are not difficult moral (or political!) issues!
