Such a disturbing photograph. It captures a man devoid of empathy, who is impatiently waiting for them to get rid of the distraction so people can return to focusing on him. The insouciance and lack of concern for a lackey is unsettling to those of us who do care for our fellow humans.

I was showing people how to embed weblinks in descriptive text. I use real links to dogs up for adoption in Philadelphia. I update them each time I teach this workshop. Two years ago I saw this dog and almost adopted him. Look at that sad face and that ONE EYEBROW!!! Hope he's a happy pooch now.

At the end of Monty Python's The Meaning of Life, Michael Palin (in drag) says, "Try to be nice to people, avoid eating fat, read a good book every now and then, get some walking in, and try and live together in peace and harmony with people of all creeds and nations."
Sounds like good advice.

Potential adopters: don't be intimidated by his size. Great Danes are some of the gentlest, goodest dogs. Our Euphie was abused for over five years and was deformed from it, but oh my goodness, she was wonderful. Gentle (unless you were an intruder) and goofy, she was true to the breed.

That Trump is awarding the Presidential Medal of Freedom to an alcoholic degenerate who hasn't done anything worthy of accolades in decades (if even then) makes me sick. Not the first time Trump has sullied the award, but it's still offensive. Hopefully Donnie doesn't motorboat Giuliani this time.

This makes me so angry. Having sex with a 13-year-old child is rape. And this guy will endanger children to protect his rapist relative. Guess he figures he's in good company since his boss is a pedophile too.

When we adopted Winnie (left), the rescue had just found homes for all her puppies. She had been a feral VERY young dog, but you'd never know she had been wild. She has never tried to run away and has been a near-perfect dog. This pic was taken the day after we adopted her. Andy (right) picked her.

I sit with you in solidarity! I'm a wheelchair user, and my wonderful "sata" Winnie is woofing (cheering) along her team!
(Winnie was a feral, pregnant puppy in Puerto Rico who survived a hurricane. She ended up in a rescue near us and she has been a near-perfect dog since we adopted her.)

Today I learned there are such things as monkey face orchids. They're rather eerie (but still cool). My Cousin Ginny grew orchids, and if she knew of these I'm sure she would have told me about them, as she and I shared a love of fun and weird/odd things.

Here's one of our pooches telling me to give her toast. Hah--my shields were up. The other moocher is the brindle pile of fur in the background.

The storms a week ago left our street looking like this. Yeah, there's a street and a sidewalk under there. What I couldn't capture was the spectacular explosion of our transformer in the back of our property.

Their excuse will be their version of whatever they think DEI is, but the real reason is sheer racism. <--obvious statement

Several years ago, we adopted a very sick dog who had a life expectancy of just a few months. Clara was sweet and loving and in agony when we first got her. A few surgeries later it was determined she had inoperable, terminal cancer. She lived a happy, good life for two years. Clara after a surgery:

Our sweet Andy has been in our home for eight years. He's about 13 with teddy bear eyes. He's getting slower but still leaps up to bark if there's a perceived danger outside. His mahogany brindle fur is velvet-soft, a quality my tactile self loves. Rescues are the best.

2/ Luckily (for his descendants), the dying king absolved Gabriel. What I found fascinating is that there's a painting of the event (with lance splinters flying every which way) from that time!
Gabriel went on to live an adventurous and sometimes difficult life, and Dumas wrote a book about him.

Here's our latest rescue, Lady Winifred Clementine Wigglebutt (Winnie). She was a pregnant, feral puppy in Puerto Rico who had survived a hurricane. Brought to the mainland, she was never trained before we got her but she came housebroken and never gets up on the furniture. (No photoshop involved)

Meet Winnie. A wild, pregnant puppy in Puerto Rico, she was captured and sent to the mainland. She had her pups and we adopted her, expecting a long training/acclimation process. (We usually adopt abused/neglected dogs, so we're used to the process.) She took no time & is a near-perfect dog. 🐶♥️

How do you know something died in your yard? When there are two buzzards dining on...something (rabbit?). Our dogs were crazy barking at the birds, but the buzzards are two totally chill giants. They flew to our fence and just waited there for our dogs to go inside. I got a pic of one of them.
