Assuming this ends in shutdown, now it’s a pure information war. Dems need to be everywhere. Trump wants permission to continue his open-ended war on social security, veterans, and cancer research. Permission denied. Etc.

When the shut down happens, how can we get more truth out there about why? I know republicans/Trump are going to spin this in a way that makes it look bad for Democrats.

How so?

Soft diplomacy (as I understand it) means that we help other countries out and get their good favor, spreading our influence in places that otherwise might turn to Russia or China for help. USAID is very much serving our self interest.

For the money we spend on foreign aid, we create soft diplomacy abroad, curb epidemics that if left without assistance could grow to the level that they spread further and put us at risk and help reduce the effects of famine.
