Exactly! It’s the evenings though; 7pm I’m ready to go to bed but in the summer I’d be busy doing all sorts. Then there are weeks where it’s just fog or cloud endlessly so there can be no direct sunlight for ages at a time. Emigration might be the only answer!

I’m usually ok to Christmas as there’s stuff going on. This year I had flu a couple of weeks before so I lost that a bit early. I was better when I had routine imposed on me I think but it almost feels claustrophobic with there being so little daylight. 8.15am - 4.15pm is not enough!

I swear it’s worse every year. Every January I start to wonder what’s wrong with me and why I feel so awful. Them spring comes and the rest of the year I’m pretty much fine. I don’t know if I’m depressed as such, it’s just like the difficulty getting started part of ADHD is turned up to the max!

Because it can be done. The Free Solo documentary is fascinating and a lot is focussed on mindset.

He has a rope though. Alex Honnold is the only person to free solo El Capitan with no rope or assistance. There’s an Oscar winning documentary about it from National Geographic.
