At my gym (in the UK) we have an “Ugly Jiu Jutsu” class, which is kind of a blend of MMA, self defence and security type techniques. I covered yesterday and had loads of fun. One guy kept apologising for dropping his right hand and goes: “Sorry, I keep reaching for my gun. Force of habit…”

My thoughts are with everyone affected by the fires in Los Angeles. I was lucky to spend a month in Santa Monica & Pasadena last spring so it’s all too familiar scenery I’m seeing burn 😔

Every year I swear I struggle with the dark UK winters. I’ve got a SAD lamp and that helps a bit. What I most struggle with though is motivation to do anything. As a recently diagnosed ADHD’er who doesn’t take meds, I’m wondering if they would have a positive impact on that. Any experiences? 🙏

First post… I’ve been here a while but Meta pushed me over the edge. I use this as an anonymous alt account because I do all sorts and it’s nice to just be me. Anyway, I’m a guy in my 40s. I run an edtech company and an BJJ gym, I also like bouldering and here are my horses Bella & Maia.
