I don’t think most Americans understand how many fed. workers’ jobs are to protect them. As a Chemist, I worked in compliance/enforcement. The EPA sets the standards for Pb/Cu, etc. in drinking water. I was EPA certified to analyze drinking water. I fear all the standards will be removed.

This is a violation of our commitment under the Convention against Torture.
The video of Trump’s deportees arriving in El Salvador is horrific.

This is 21st century Nazism.

Identities concealed, trafficked to a foreign labour camp. No due process, no evidence of crime. Dehumanised.

Where is the global outrage?

The crime is historic; the normalisation catastrophic.

Perkins Coie’s complaint was so well written and satisfying to read. I think they’ve put together a slam dunk case.
Perkins Coie, which helped defeat Trump's attempts to subvert the 2020 election, fights Trump's order targeting the firm as a violation of the 1st, 5th and 6th Amendments and the separation of powers.

How can there be such blatant ethical violations?
New in PN: Ed Martin wages war on the rule of law from within

"Martin’s refusal to sign off on an arrest warrant for hardcore MAGA Rep. Cory Mills manages to be both breathtakingly corrupt and downright disgusting, a scandal that would’ve dominated news cycles during any previous administration."

He's turning the DC US attorney's office into a MAGA protection racket.

This directly violates the first amendment.
Trump: “All Federal Funding will STOP for any College, School, or University that allows illegal protests. Agitators will be imprisoned/or permanently sent back to the country from which they came. American students will be permanently expelled or, depending on on the crime, arrested. NO MASKS!...”

I got laid off today, with the rest of 18F.

18F was an elite federal software shop. We made gov't websites work better, more efficiently for the American people. We saved taxpayers from getting screwed over by contractors. And were fired for it.

We made this website to tell our story:

The Trump administration has begun firing employees at the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, one of the world’s premier centers for climate science.
Mass Layoffs Begin at NOAA
The cuts came just before a separate wave of departures was expected under the Trump administration’s so-called deferred resignation program.

RFK Jr is either IGNORANT or a LIAR. The two measles deaths — both unvaccinated children — in Texas announced today are actually the FIRST deaths attributed to the disease in the U.S. since 2015.
RFK Jr. Dismisses Measles Outbreak As ‘Not Unusual’ After Child's Death
“We have measles outbreaks every year," Trump's health secretary said when asked about the death, which is the nation's first in a decade.
