41) Metroid: Zero Mission
-They REALLY polished that classic Metroid structure. This is the best point to start the series, but its an amazing game in general! I don't find the atmosphere quite AS strong as other games in the series, but it is still one of the best remakes of all time!

40) Luigi's Mansion
-I only ever played 2 and 3, and this game was a treat! I found the pacing much better than 2 and 3 and I LOOOOOOOVE the Mansion. My only gripe are some annoyances w the combat and depth perception. The final boss in particular I didn't like. Def still my fav in the series!

Yep! Mr. Metroid herself!!

I think Gamefreak definitely has the chops esp since imo the last few games HAVE been good from a pure gameplay and content perspective, just an absolute MESS visually. I would really love to see Monolithsoft step in and provide some technical support like they do w other Nintendo games.

I can see that. I thought BDSP had really bad Chibi execution lol. I think Let's Go looked fantastic, but I was more referring to the environments and less the character models which I don't think Gamefreak has really struggled with in general (artstyle decisions aside).

Personally loved Sun and Moon and Let's Go's artstyle. I think Sword and Shield looked mostly great, but those Wild Areas looked ROUGH. Of course they're not nearly as bad as Scarlet and Violet in that department lolll.

They left that back in whatever gen existed when I was 14.

39) Pokémon Legends: Z-A
-The story was the X/Y sequel I always wanted and I LOVED the new combat. I would love to see Legends 3 refine it more. The game definitely should have looked better, but I still loved my time w it. The whole final sequence in particular might be my fav in the series.

Agreed. Atp, its actively immersion breaking to not have it especially since these games have cinematic cutscenes now.
