"Nothing will change until our anger gets powerful enough. But once you accept the truth of loss, and the truth of who perpetrated and profited from that loss, the anger comes rushing in, as fierce as the Santa Ana winds."

🔥This lovely lady bearing blazing torches is thought to represent a badass Fire Goddess. It's a 2000-year-old carving from the back of a pyrite stone mirror found in the sacred city of #Teotihuacan — the first true metropolis of the Americas 🔥 #Mexico

Saw this wreckage shortly after it happened because I bike that path daily. Seems we need taller barriers rather than the province's plan to remove them.
2 peds, 1 cyclist & multiple cars struck. The scene last night on College St after a motorist careened across a bike lane, sidewalk & mounted a concrete barrier. Why are we as a province addressing anything but the scourge of road violence: toronto.citynews.ca/2024/12/18/p...

Love this 🪨⭐! The Colossal Heads were sculpted by the Olmec about 3000 years ago. Blocks of basalt weighing up to 90,000 lbs had to be lugged from inland quarries 130 km away to the Gulf of #Mexico. This monument stands 9'4", but his face always reminds me of my abuelo 🥰 #mesoamerica

“Inical, Initeocal in Huitzilopochtli”

The House and Temple of Huitzilopochtli - Commissioned by Trey the Explainer.

This is my interpretation of the sanctuary of Huitzilopochtli, one of two magnificent chapels that once crowned the Great Temple of Mexico-Tenochtitlan.

The Maya deity "God L" tying a bracelet to a woman in his palace. The various women in the scene are proposed to be either his daughters or his wives. Based on the Princeton vase painting which also depicts the Hero Twins in the same scene.
