43 years ago, the USPS decided email posed an existential threat—unless email was delivered though the mail.

Literally. Printed out on paper, stuffed in a blue-and-white envelope, and mailed, for 26¢ for the first page, plus 5¢ for a second page.

That, for 3 years, was E-com.
