Concerned Canadian! No we do not have a huge valve on the west coast that can control the flow of water to the western USA.
As I walk in the river valley where human sound is almost non- existent, I can hear the birdsong reaching towards me through the gentle breeze. A flicker starts tap, tap, tapping on a tree. I am so thankful that this peace exists.
