Today would have been my mom’s 101st birthday. She studied in the US & Mexico, earning her MA in Spanish Literature & Education. She then moved to Venezuela where she met my Texan dad. She dedicated the rest of her life to social justice & education for immigrant children in Texas. She’s my hero.

Spent Saturday at a gorgeous camp with a lake in CT for scout leadership training (CDC WB). Wish my university trainings were like this!
