7) Similarly, OH BOY the Lifetime years had some seriously weird shoehorning of product sponsorships in here. I don’t exactly think “FASHION!” when I think of Red Robin.

6) OH BOY the seasons where the makeup sponsor is Mary Kay is like almost an anti-commercial. The makeup is SO BAD and clearly performs super poorly. Like I had toy makeup from Claire’s as a kid that had better pigmentation and finish.

5) I get the vibe that Tim Gunn doesn’t love Posen and how mean he makes the other judges either. Idk why, I just do. Might just be projection.

4) In these later seasons, some of the judging decisions and feedback are really baffling to me. Like, is it a DESIGN competition or a CONSTRUCTION competition?

3) Speaking of the closer look part, I don’t like how Posen paws at the clothes (and this the models). I think if they’re gonna do a close look, that’s gonna sometimes requires touching them, but there’s something about the WAY he does it that makes it feel like he doesn’t see the models as people.

2) Michael Kors > Zac Posen. Posen is kind of a mean girl and I don’t like him. Like, Kors is snarky and critical, but there’s a meanspiritedness to Posen that Kors didn’t have, and I think the other judges get dragged into the mud with him - especially during the closer look at the garment part.

Man, I really didn’t realize how fucking wild the culture of the aughts were while I was living through them.

SO MUCH SCREAMING. ALL THE TIME.

I, too, could shower and do my makeup everyday if I had a million dollar house, a cleaning service, childcare, and one of those fancy narwhal robo-mop/vacuums.

(Spoiler: I know it’s because they’re fucking rich and they’re actually farming out 90% of the domestic labor and just not showing it, but it doesn’t make me feel any less like shit to see constantly.)
