I've been traveling since late July so I'm doing a very truncated #SealeyChallenge this year starting today w/ Scorched Earth by Tiana Clark. I've enjoyed Clark's work since her chap Equilibrium, so I'm glad this newest collection inspired me to pull her earlier work off my shelf for some re-reading

For a long time I didn't write about my children or about my role as mother and care-giver. One of the poets who's been a guiding star showing me how to do this with both rigor and care has been Julia Kolchinsky. What an honor to have her say this about my collection Tumor Moon:

Poets who know me know I've been a fan of Chelsea Dingman's poetry since her first collection, Thaw. So having these words of hers about Tumor Moon feels like a getting a lifetime achievement award. I'm so honored and grateful.

I saw this image of the artwork Between the Lines by Ariana Boussard-Reifel in a lecture on erasure by Robin Coste Lewis. What happens when you remove all the black from a book? It’s rendered useless. Food for thought.
