Agreed. For me, Big Star is always Chilton AND Bell so there’s really just that first album. As good as the others are.

I don't think that's accurate. The top five was Ruth, Gehrig, DiMaggio, Dickey, Keller. Berra moved into the top five in May 1955, displacing Keller. Mantle moved into the top five in Aug 1957, displacing Dickey. It had been Ruth, Mantle, Gehrig, DiMaggio, Berra since 1957.

Don’t know about the UK but over here “Do Right” was the B-side of “I Never Loved a Man”

Yep. I understand the appeal. Just doesn’t appeal to me. I get downright uneasy if I’m away from my big city for more than two days.

Something similar happens with Neil Young. Young’s politics - his thinking in general - is often incoherent and contradictory. But when he does sort it out, the songs turn into blog posts set to music. His best political songs don’t really say things at all. “Ohio” is about dread.

Beckett? Bichette!

Beckett normally only celebrates when a teammate does something.

Very early Bee Gees used to make me think - if the Beatles had never been a bar band…

I knew about Fairport but I had never heard of Sweeney’s Men! Thanks as always.
