I know this doesn't really solve what you're saying, but it gives me hope that people will come up with cooler software that can take advantage of the inside out tracking and it being standalone.

It's running SteamOS, what the steam deck is, and it doesn't lock down what you can do at all. You can replace the whole is on the Steam Deck if you want to.
They also said the hardware is designed to be modular.
So it sounds like they're giving us complete freedom and way more 3rd party apps.

And at least for me, continuing to try at that point sort of hurts.
It's really distressing to just not be able to make your body do a basic thing. Especially when it's not that your body is ignoring orders to move but you just don't order it to move despite wanting to.

I made them sad and hurt just by existing with ADHD. And I can't control the ADHD.

My desktop PC uses an AMD CPU, AMD GPU, and runs Arch Linux, what the steam deck's OS is based on. But it takes less than 5 seconds to boot.

I wish cooking was some core class in high school.
If everyone had to take budgeting, cooking, and sewing (or generic "fixing things") courses, it could improve most people's quality of life by a lot.
