Together, we are addressing drug trafficking through operational cooperation, data sharing, and prevention measures. We must continue working together, to stop the flow of drugs. It is in our shared security interest.

Due to its strategic location and high container traffic, it is a critical point for smuggling operations. Together with @europol.europa.eu‘s Deputy Executive Director and the Executive Director of MAOC-N, we discussed ongoing operations.

Thank you, Chairwoman, for the excellent cooperation and commitment to our shared security.

The last time we met, we signed the Frontex agreement. Today, we discussed the progress that has already happened and the launch of Joint Operation Bosnia and Herzegovina.

This shows how vital the Western Balkans are for Europe’s internal security. We need to keep up and intensify this cooperation and  complete visa alignment for all partners in the region.

Thank you, Ministers, for the constructive exchanges on our shared priorities and the way forward.

I also commended Denmark’s strong leadership as Presidency of the Council of the EU in 2025, driving our common work on home affairs and security.

We also touched upon Europe’s approach to migration, firmly grounded in its values. Thank you @Pontifex for your guidance and enduring commitment to peace and dialogue.

We are working on a reform that manages migration in a firm and fair way — grounded in the conviction that all people share the same dignity. This belief is at the heart of our European values, and it will continue to guide our policies.

Peace begins with the courage to act together.

Close cooperation between national authorities, employers, and civil society is very important to tackle this challenge. We must protect people from this abuse and stop irregular migration.
October 15, 2025 at 6:48 PM
This is another key step to tackle complex and cross-border security challenges together. The agreement is a valuable security tool and will allow us to fight organised crime and terrorism more effectively.

Thank you, State Secretary Øren and Permanent Secretary Gudmundsson.

Rolling out a large-scale IT system across the Union has been a complex and demanding task. I want to sincerely thank everyone who contributed to making the EES a reality.

Today I visited CEPOL’s new headquarters in Budapest. The agency plays a key role in ensuring that EU law enforcement officers are well-trained to meet evolving security challenges.

Joint trainings are central to delivering on our ProtectEU, our new internal security strategy.
October 9, 2025 at 12:52 PM

The divide is not between Jews and other religions – it is between democrats and extremists. Between those who share our democratic values, regardless of their nationality, ethnic origin or religion; and those who want to undermine democracy by resorting to extremism.
October 7, 2025 at 6:59 PM
I am grateful for the good conversation on the future of European migration and asylum policies.

We also discussed the importance of ensuring security of Jewish communities in Europe. We must work together so that Jewish life can thrive in Europe. Now more than ever.
