Thank you to the Port of Santa Marta for hosting me today. This key gateway in northern Colombia is at the front line of efforts to fight drug trafficking into international markets, including Europe.

As we prepare the EU Drugs Strategy, I’m in Bogotá visiting the Anti-Narcotics Target Selection Company of Colombia’s National Police — a specialized unit identifying and prioritising high-value targets in narcotics trafficking.

On the margins of the Forum, I held productive bilateral meetings with Ministers Stoklund, Šaranović, and Dačić.
The EU values its strong cooperation with Montenegro and Serbia on internal security and in curbing illegal migratory flows.

Today, we signed international agreements to exchange Passenger Name Record data with our counterparts from Norway and Iceland, which handle about 60 million passengers that arrive and depart from airports every year.
