I agree with all of this. They (trips and Burn) deserve our loyalty and appreciation, we desperately miss Lewis and Tino and it’s a key area of need to strengthen as our old boys start to really show their age.

Objectively so - literally rooted in fact not opinion. It's admirable rejection of semantics and literal and biologically accepted definitions and criteria

I enjoyed the use of the word 'objective' used completely outside of its meaning. For a brief moment I wanted to get back on twitter and make him look idiotic. Then I remembered how futile that would be

In other words I think he's likely ASD/ADHD with some elements of Tourette's and that combined with being someone who uses physical and psychological training as his way of regulating himself - gets thrown off when he's injured or has a niggle. Think he's fascinating from a sports science and psych

I don't disagree on any comments about his performance but I honestly don't think Gordon ever doesn't give a shit. I think if he wasn't in a field where success was based on physical performance he'd be doing some very niche shit that probably lots of systems, processes and repetition.

He looked brilliant for England and decent against Benfica - but he pranced around like a fucking pony today and list the ball leading to the first goal.

Totally agree with this, bet he was feeling like a proper clever bastard for winding the fans up and delaying the corner kick, he knew what he was doing and showed no urgency or desire to get into position

I was hoping @editkev.football might be able to do a tracking visual of his movement in the game last night because he appeared all over the pitch and offered extra options frequently. Out lot are obviously absurdly fit and can run for bloody miles.
