Ask me about the origins of the Tesco Clubcard, I dare you. (he/him)
That's a really profound read that will really stick with me, and not just the pre-covid bits. If anything, I think the covid bits are some of those that I found most relateable. Thank you for being so honest and putting out a glimpse of something I don't think I've seen discussed at all.

Oh, buddy. That all sucks so much. I've got nothing constructive to add other that I'm happy you've got a rehab plan.

What do you mean "How could it invent anything new when it can only pull from existing training data"?

What do you mean "How would it spend money"?

What do you mean "Why would we not just turn off the robots"?

It's AI. It can do anything.

Look, you've just got to accept that sooner or later, AI is going to be able to code it's own new type of AI, which is different and better than any other type, collect new and different training data that no one else could find, fund and build a data centre, build robot bodies and kill us all.

"We don't know if these things will suddenly come alive one day... or *gasp* maybe they already have..." you say about the Make-A-Celebrity-Fall-Down-The-Stairs Machine.

I watched that video, and I was surprised to hear the things Hank let go unchallenged. The whole book seems to be a regurgitation of the "LLMs are so powerful and scawy, I sure hope noone oppresses me uwu" stuff that I thought we left in 2023.

You can't sell that shit in a post Sora 2 world.

Ray Parker Jr. knows about Freaky Ghosts at the very least.

It doesn't seem right to me that you wouldn't be a Star Trek person.

Americans can't handle a six and a half hour bat-and-ball game? You guys should try test match cricket some time.

You're assuming that the purpose of a film is to be enjoyed, or even watched. He just needs to convince Mohammed Bin Salman that he's still a real actor, and he was worth the money he paid to buy him as a pet and destroy Amber Heard.

I noticed the front door and garage immediately, but I'm still not sure I really understand what's happening.

Oh, I've been naughty? Well, then, tell me what you're going to do to me, and make sure to format it as a list with emojis instead of bullet points.

I think Wildsea could be fun with kids. It really goes out of its way to reward whimsy.

Boooo. I dislike that this is happening to you.

Just imagine how tall all the buildings would have grown by now if they didn't keep them under control.

Sources say that it will be revealed that Taylor is actually not a popstar after all, but is actually a being called the Timeless Swift who has actually had thousands of albums before what we were always told was her first one. She is actually the being who all other popstars are modelled after.

I think that might also be a reaction against AI. The finished piece is falsifiable, the process isn't.

I'm a big believer in the idea that you don't lose until you cash out. You can be very far in the red for a very long time, but all you need is one brief moment in the black, and you make sure you plant your flag there and call it a win. If you can pull that trick off then you never lose.

I'm really sorry to see how tough things have been for you over the last couple of years. You deserve so much better.

I do think you'll catch a break at some point soon. Things tend to turn up, not in a "cosmic justice" way, but just in a "a lot of stuff happens, and some of it is okay" way.

If you can make it to Bristol at any point, there's a warm bed for you at ours for a bit if that's ever helpful.

Ooh man, that's a real thing-ass thing there, isn't it. A reverse image search just comes up with hundreds of anonymous plastic pieces. My gut reaction was that it was a bit of a Fisher Price toy, but it could equally be part of a sewing machine or an industrial bottling rig.

Please don't. Every time I hear that fucking autotune it takes a month off my life.

I assume you know the story about that.

When I started uni in 2011, we had to submit it both in the box and online, but it had gone fully online by the time I finished, because we kept complaining about deadlines that weren't at midnight.

Couldn't be me. I would simply seize the means of production.
