Still living in the world's most successful failed state 😅
If you ever had a question about if there's any Nintendo employees checking wat is coming on the eShop, the awnser is clearly NO! Because any human would recognize Oda's artstyle being clearly butchered here.
Like, if there's ever a game to submit to Shueisha's lawyers for DMCA - THIS IS IT! 😶

I'm asking because where I live, when voter turnout is below 30%, it's considered invalid - regardless of how many people vote in favor or not...
April 28, 2025 at 7:10 AM
Okay, it was widely known that the people that took the vote, voted in favor.
Now tell us the number you don't like to tell us: What percentage of SAG-aftra members actually went to vote? Because I keep hearing VAs say that they weren't even aware there was a vote.

He made an indie movie with this character... WITH COOLIO! WHAT EVEN IS THIS?!!!

This is a goldmine for content creators that just got exposed. We're going to get a LOT of videos in the coming weeks on this topic, calling it right now. 😅

Jeezes. The more you look into it, the more interesting it gets. The character is created by a former Spawn artist who went indie, saw in Air Neos a clone of his own work and sued a big company in hopes of getting a good payday.
And considering Air Neos got shelved, he got exactly that.

Case was filed in April 2008. Which makes sense, as the last prints and anime appearance all date back from 2007. Ever since 2008, Konami collectively "forgot" about Air Neos.

It took years for people to actually find the court documents. But it was there all along if you knew where and wat to look for 😶:

So yeah, tl;dr in 2008 Ravedactyl's IP holders sued Konami and everyone else involved in the making of Air Neos for copyright infringement. Konami & co were sued for 70 million dollars (+ attorney fees)!

And a lot of this disconnect is... well, because a lot of Genshin fans are not US citizens. Lots of them are European, have better working conditions, have better unions, etc.
What SAG-aftra does is so different from what happens in Europe. It's on a mobster-level how they work.
April 1, 2025 at 8:05 AM
We are... but it's not going as VAs are hoping it goes.
Because the interim contract has been posted and people have been reading it. SAG-aftra's tactics are als on public display, and people are just disgusted with all of it and the VA's side is losing lots of support as a direct result.

Did not expect this. Such a pleasant surprise to see the Somnium Files games expand even further. 😀

One of your classic (shit)posts.
Surprised it still was available on YouTube for all those years, though... 🤔😅

Once upon a time, there were three moons that protected Genshin.
A disaster caused the 1st moon to "fall" and disappear, the 2nd moon to be destroyed, and the 3rd moon to "stop moving" as if its dead.
Somehow, all of this destruction is hidden behind a false sky.
But soon something will change...

All I can conclude is that this must be a specific note in the terms of service of Nintendo when publishing a game physically in the US.
For more details, you'll need to be an official journalist.
Wonder if somebody can ring up Reggie Fils-Aime or some official press communications officer? 🤔

Weird side-note is that these labels (the pro controller one and the basic reading one)... are not present on the eShop. I've looked over the eShop page of Tsukihime and found no mention of the text in this label whatsoever.😅
This is only on the physical box.

And having a seperate label instead of just a line of plain text makes it stand out more. Especially the "ABC" icon draws your attention.🤔
The joke is that one would assume that people know some reading skills if they pick up a game rated Teen or Mature, especially if it's a visual novel.
February 3, 2025 at 5:38 PM
Question: Why is this now a meme, if this label has been around for decades?🤔
Answer: If you look at the cover art of older games, the label "basic reading ability is needed to fully enjoy this game" is just text, usually hidden within blocks of other text.
On the Switch, it's a seperate label.🤔
February 3, 2025 at 5:24 PM
The trend is... ALL of the examples are for the Switch. The PS4 version of Tsukihime (for example) does not have this warning.
And all examples that I found from consoles other than the Switch are also Nintendo-based (e.g. GBA, DS, Wii, 3DS).
So this appears to be a Nintendo-specific label. 🤔
February 3, 2025 at 5:22 PM
Next question: Is this specific to the Tsukihime visual novel? 🤔
Answer: No. My copy of the Great Ace Attorney VN is the US version and has the same label.
Looking on the internet, there's many examples of this label.
However, there IS a trend...
February 3, 2025 at 5:14 PM
Next: Is this region-specific? Answer: Yes. This label is only present on the US printed version of the game. My copy is the Asian version. The only label on there is the one mentioning it's compatible with the pro controller. 🤔 But the cover art has a "free space" for extra labels.
