So I will just say as I do to everyone dealing with this shit (ha ha), hope everything comes out OK in the end. 😂

They are short. I am pretty short and they barely come up to my mid thigh. It's not a great feeling. They also don't recline, they slide slightly backwards but I never recline so don't care. But the angle is strange even at regular position.

I like Acela seats better than Regional so we may have different criteria, but reviews have compared these to church pews and I'd say yes, they are very, very stiff with little give but more than that,

Some things never change: windows already dirty. Maryland still beautiful.

On the plus side, the footrest does not make that clanging sound when put up or down, which is especially nice in the quiet car. And the outlets are between the seats so no one will run a wire over your lap.

The seats, as advertised, are far less comfortable than old Acela, stiff and short and at an odd angle, but to compensate, the footrest is also placed in a way that makes no sense.

I don't know whether the overhead lights adjust to ambient conditions or the conductor can't figure them out and keeps adjusting.

Seats are weirdly placed so there's no perfect seat anymore but this one is fine.

I spent years finding my favorite seat and several lesser good seats on the old Acela. I did some research but who knows what the seat I chose will be like? Just a few minutes till I find out.
