A day too late oop.
Enjoyed it more than Part II with its semi-"interesting" characters, but still not really good. At least he finally got that iconic look.

And it's not even because it was better written than the rest. That monkey is just such a evil little mastermind with the pad and all. And the film really didn't hold back with its brutality.

Hurricane Wendy doesn't mess around! :3
By no means perfect, but so much better than I expected. Sometimes a simple concept done well is all you need. The 2nd half especially really pulls you in. Kaya Scodelario also absolutely kills it.
And most importantly: THE PUP SURVIVES!!

But overall still good. It looks great, the acting is pretty good, Winona Ryder and Charlie Heaton in particular, and just fun overall!

It tries a bit too hard here and there, leading to (what I consider) some inconsistent moments, mostly small things, but I really couldn't wrap my head around the idea that Hopper would sell out the kids at the end. It just doesn't make sense to the character we've gotten to know.

Deeply uncomfortable with quite a revolting ending, don't think I'll ever watch it again.

People talking shit about it on Twitter after it was nominated for Best Picture is what got me interested, and honestly? It's good fun!
The races are exhilarating, they really pull you in. Especially with that soundtrack. The cast is also great. Quite enjoyed it.

The lack of soundtrack with just ambient sounds and otherwise silence really pulled me into the emotions here. Just somewhat empty & lonely. Scared at times. It's truly special

And the acting is top-notch throughout as well.
Overall, quite good! Watched it because some actors from Monarch were in it, and quite happy I did.

Absolutely adored some of the characters, Will Sharpe as Rodney especially. He was my personal highlight, and I really wish he was a bigger part in the final episode but he just had one proper scene and 2 short ones, unfortunately.
