When I was in secondary school, we had a wonderful library and a brilliant, kind, and supportive librarian. She, more than anyone, promoted a love of reading in our school. Do schools still have this?

My son called them ‘Shoe Lice’ when he was little because he found one in his shoe which had got lost in the porch. We live in High Wycombe. 😏
