I’m re-reading the Book of Dust books in preparation for book 3 coming soon, and I have to say for the millionth time Philip Pullman is an observant, fearless genius. Maybe my favorite writer.

For posterity, here’s the best thing I ever tweeted: a video of Mayor DiBlasio landing a helicopter in Prospect Park in 2016. (I was immediately contacted by dozens of local news orgs and made about $500 thanks to the lessons I learned from Jake Gyllenhaal’s Nightcrawler.)

I love love love Merrily We Roll Along, I’ve seen at least a dozen amateur and profesh productions, and the current broadway revival with Groff & Radcliffe & Mendez is just so so so good. (Also saw it off-bw & it holds up on the bigger stage!) Look at how happy I am 🥲
