Do I Dare Disturb My Doomscrolling?
Part of the feeling of helplessness right now is this idea that you don’t know some big thing you can do. But why would you expect that from yourself? Do something every day. That can be some…

One of the reasons servicemembers, from admirals and generals to the greenest private, should know “don’t follow illegal orders” is that this administration is a goulash of dishonorable character flaws like cowardice and dishonesty. There is no bus under which these pissants will not throw you.
NYT:
Five officials told us that Hegseth had nothing to do with the second strike

Washpost (which broke the story 2 days ago):
“This is ‘protect Pete’ bullshit,”
and
“It’s throwing us, the service members, under the bus.”

Famous writers at New Yorker are up in arms after fact-checker’s firing
The media company summarily dismissed four employees, including a fact-checker at the 100-year-old magazine, for “extreme misconduct.” Many of its famous writers are outraged.

Hi, scientist here:

This statement from the Trumpers at CDC is not how scientific truth works.

This is a Merchants of Doubt rhetorical trick. No study can prove a negative. Scientific evidence shows vaccines do not cause autism. 🧪
This is completely disgusting. Today, the CDC updated their vaccine safety page. It now says:

“The claim "vaccines do not cause autism" is not an evidence-based claim because studies have not ruled out the possibility that infant vaccines cause autism”.

Gift article about the upcoming boycott that will hit Home Depot. In addition to the groups mentioned, the Peoples Union USA is trying to get all of these groups to act in concert so they all do their boycotts at the same time to inflict more damage.

I was in a group for a while but when they realized I was outside the boundaries there wasn't even a note or "good-bye" they just shut me out. I was told I could start my own group, but I'm not interested in trying to do that.
