Caved is an overstatement IMO. The agreement reads like a labor contract wherein Cornell agrees to provide anonymized admissions data (a little Big Brother perhaps), but which seems a reasonable concession for the value of the research they’ll be free to pursue going forward. Counter arguments?

As a civilian with limited exposure to the genre, no I can’t summon an example that rises above masturbatory nonsense. I do however celebrate a culture where Emily Brontë could transcend the lens of gender. I take Wuthering Heights as an existence proof.
