There is a quasi-religion in Silicon Valley that views AI as godlike. This faith has always been parallel to Evangelical Christianity: salvation (transhumanism), the rapture (the technological singularity), and demons (Roko's Basilisk)

Lately the AI faith has fully fused with Christian Nationalism.

Thanks to Claude, yesterday I built my first full-stack app! Vite, React, Tailwind CSS, and Lucide used to be strange topics for me, but now I'm starting to understand how they all fit together. It's amazing what you’re able to do with a bit of help from our friends the LLMs.

Finally used that tiny 3.5 inch SPI screen I bought for my Raspberry Pi that was just gathering dust to build a small web app! I kinda like how it turned out. What useful info should I add now? Temperatures? Network throughput?

Phone notifications are a mixed bag for me. I need them for friends' messages, important emails and things like that, but the constant stream of irrelevant alerts is too much. The idea of an LLM to filter them is appealing, despite the worry of missing something important.

I just finished Tomb Raider on the Steam Deck and really enjoyed it. I’ve played many games, Sable, BioShock Infinite, Brothers in Arms, Watch Dogs, Sniper Elite.. and the experience has been absolutely flawless.

I like the design of the CMF Watch Pro, but I really miss a couple of key apps: a calendar app that shows my upcoming appointments, and a simple GPS app that guides me to my destination without needing to check my phone. And while we’re at it, a world clock would be great too.

I really wish I could post on Instagram without having to deal with Reels. Doomscrolling is so bad.

I never formally learned JavaScript, and now I have a huge problem with async/await.
I just don’t get it, it’s so confusing.
I think it’s time to finally learn it properly.

2025 will be the year I:
• Start posting more here, at work, and hopefully on my blog.
• Cut down on social media use (Instagram mainly, since I’ve already left Twitter).
• Focus on consuming quality content: RSS feeds, newspapers, and a bit of Bsky.
