Question: What's an app password? Sky-tan answers.. There are many third party clients like deck.blue (think of TweetDeck for Bluesky) that you can use with your Bluesky account. App passwords allow you to use third party clients without giving full access to your account. So they are always different from you account password! How to create an app password 1. Go to Settings > Advanced > App Passwords 2. Click on Create App Password to create one. 3. Give it a name and enable access to DMs if you want. 4. You will now get a password that looks like this xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx that you can use on the login page of third party clients. Please note! You can't view or change this password again. If you lose it you can just quickly create a new app password and login with that instead! Stay safe!

For example Game Dev shows all things game dev, Vtuber Fightclub shows all things vtubers etc. Find feeds for your interests in the Feeds menu! Recommended feeds for general use are: Mentions (This feed shows mentions, comments and quote reposts. Basically a way to filter notifications!) Popular with Friends (Content that your follows like. Good for discovery, especially after following a lot of people.) Quiet posters (Some follows don't post often. This feed makes sure you see their posts when they do!) The 'Gram (Only shows pictures by people you follow. Good for those who just want to see art.) Share your fav feeds in the replies!

Question: Is it true that Bluesky doesn't use algorithms? Sky-tan answers.. Not quite! Bluesky actually has many algorithmic feeds but it gives you the right to choose and create them! Currently they can be categorized like this: Following (Posts from people you follow in a chronological order without algorithm), Discover (Official feed from Bluesky that acts like a For You page. Can be fine tuned!), Custom Feeds (Feeds created by the community. You can create your own too!) Bonus tip: In settings > Following Feed Preferences you can enable posts from custom feeds to show up in your following feed!

Bluesky Tutorial: How to make your handle kawaii Follow these steps: 1. Visit kawaii.social in your browser and follow the instructions on the page. 2. They are pretty straight forward but ask in the comments if you have difficulties! About community handles: Bluesky uses domains as handles. The default handle looks like this: @yourname.bsky.social You can set your handle to any domain you own. For example, as Bluesky owns the domain bsky.app they can use @bsky.app as their handle. This automatically acts as a form of verification. Those who don't own a domain can use community handles, e.g. @sky-tan.kawaii.social The user owning the domain kawaii.social allows other Bluesky users to use it for their handles. There are a few more community handles such as swifties.social or army.social. Please note: 1. You'll have to update links that lead to your old handle 2.
