I tend to agree overall, and I think it does a much better job with the Creature than most adaptations do.

So, I actually liked something Del Toro said about it, which is that certain stories like Frankenstein and Sherlock Holmes have taken on their own sort of myth and legendary status over time, to the point where trying to make a 1:1 adaptation of the source material is doomed to fail.

But what if their main reason for liking a dinosaur is because of Dinosaur train?

There were some spots that had gotten almost black with moisture + foot traffic, and you literally can’t tell where they were any more. Plus the pile had gotten all crushed, and now it’s not any more!

You can’t get TOO close to it, but in this case, no! I started by essentially dumping a bucket or two of hot water mixed with Dawn onto it and letting it sit for about 5 minutes, then started attacking it.

I got a floor squeegee to get most of the water out between passes, and it was FILTHY.

I dunno - it’s hard to go from SH2 remaster to SH1 vanilla. :P

Yeah, the FMV is totally fine. It’s just hard to get a kid these days invested in older games (and I actually meant PS1 games, oops…)

More or less? We played through SH2 together and we’re playing Silent Hill f right now. The description from panel 3 is something I told her, and her actual reaction was “rad.”

I mentioned that episode to Liz again last night too, by noting how well Jamie Lee Curtis portrays the progress Deedee is making as a person. Like, it’s weird to talk about these characters as actual people, but I could FEEL how much better she was doing just in JLC’s minor mannerisms.
