This is what happens when someone decides to wake up at ONE IN THE MORNING and decides he’s not tired anymore. Dude just absolutely crashed and burned. :D

I’m gonna post the most dramatic black and white selfie I’ve got, though it’s (obviously) old as shit. :P

Decided to work a little on Liz’ office tonight, just to try and get it in line with the version I’d drawn (it was in Monday’s comic, for reference).

This was also seeing how the light reacted at the equivalent of about 5 PM. I still have a few additional light fixtures to add, but it’s fun!

It’s messy as hell right now, but that’s our pantry. :P

So far these are the “main 4” locations that I’ve got framed out to match as closely to the comic framing as possible. They’re all taken at the equivalent of 4 PM at this time of year, and I’ll probably run off a batch of them at different times to see how things shift.

No, it seems like Malwarebytes might be using old crowdsourced info. I had a virus attack at one point a few years back, but I dealt with it. Most other things show it as clean.

I wish we had gotten more Trick-or-Treaters, but our yard looked better than it ever has this year! I already have some projects in mind for next year, too!

(The background for the window projection is something I literally threw together in 2 hours in Blender last night. It came out pretty well!

Liz will be posting the full video on Halloween, but here’s a little sneak peek at Constance. :)

“When hinges creak in doorless chambers, and strange and frightening sounds echo through the halls… whenever candlelights flicker where the air is deathly still — that is the time when ghosts are present, practicing their terror with ghoulish delight!”

This is the lamest version of “Final Destination” ever.

The brick colors are a BIT off, unfortunately, but I think I can live with that. *laughs*

Looking forward to seeing it tonight in the spotlight to see how it fares in the evening, but HOT DAMN! I’d say that looks fairly legit! :D

And there she is. I COULD NOT be more in love with this plaque. I’m going to have to get it mounted on the pillar tomorrow, but HO-LEE-CRAP.

I’d like to think Master Gracey would approve. :)

Thankfully, Liz had the PERFECT COLOR in her stash, so I can easily just dab this on and it matches the real oxidation PERFECTLY. Holy crap.

My goal is to get it as close to this vibe as possible. I think we’re REALLY close.

Here it is after the patina has had a chance to fully develop. I think I’m going to need to do some manual dry brushing in the letters to really bring the blue out, and I MIGHT do some dry brushing with the bronze paint mixed with black on a few raised areas, but I LOVE how the bronze has blackened.
October 23, 2025 at 1:30 AM
It’s beginning to take shape! This is after about 10 minutes of dry time (you do a second coat of bronze paint, and while it’s wet, you spray on the acidic solution). It’s supposed to develop over 30-40 minutes, so it’s exciting to see where it ends up!
October 22, 2025 at 8:08 PM
It definitely looks less like forbidden chocolate after the first coat of bronze paint. :D
October 22, 2025 at 3:51 PM
All primed and ready for the bronze paint tomorrow! (It’s a special paint that oxidizes with an acidic spray that forms a blue verdigris coating, which should make it look exactly like the plaque outside of the mansion at Disneyland. :D )

It’s hard to tell in the first photo, but she’s “floating” on the stand. It’s actually very hard to see the hook she’s being supported on, so the effect is pretty convincing.

Still a few finishing touches on the Constance doll left to do, but we finally got her fully assembled and her dress mostly done, and GOD DAMN.

Liz is aiming to have the video released on Halloween, so stay tuned!

The spookiness intensifies!

Still have more to do, but seeing these up at night is FABULOUS. :D
