I made this silly little birthday card for my mom in under an hour. I don’t ever use colored pencil, but I didn’t have time to wait for paint to dry. She said she didn’t need any cards this year. I think she’ll make an exception for this one.

It’s gotten pretty dinged up from going to so many shows over the past three years, so I decided to give it a little make over.

Current painting I’m working on reminded me how much I love entirety of “Combat Rock”. Hearing this at age 16 altered my brain chemistry. It was a gateway to Manic Street Preachers, and from questioning the conservative culture I’d grown up around.

Since the cold really set in, “Buffalo ‘66” has been on my mind. It’s a visually striking, uncomfortable movie. I recommend every cinephile watch it once.
