Languages, Visuals, and Dangerous Things
A perspective that can nevertheless be studied and understood.

Māori simply ‘formalised’ these things using the concepts of tapu, mana, etc.

They are not some imaginary things that have no relevance outside of te Ao Māori but rather mental models of those commonly existing phenomena build from an original perspective.

It also manifests occasionally with languages that are more grammatically similar to English, but less often so.

languages that had been made invisible (due to oppressive langugage policies). The majority pretends as if they don’t exist, or are necessary any more. While the languages are still there, with hundreds of thousands of home speakers, within their own limited world…

Then, what they decided is expressed with a desiderative particle kia, which (again, to my feeling) has a semblance to subjunctive in Spanish.

Pērā ıs a wonderful word meanıng ‘that way’ or ‘lıke that’, ȷust lıke Qazaq ′buytıp (but how many languages lack a verb like that!).

For example, here ‘they all decided’ is turned into the emphatic construction (with emphasis on decided), and for that reason the subject is in the genitive construction, just like you use it in the dependent clause in Qazaq (feels this way, i don’t know the correct Māori grammar terms well).

I haven’t tried home row modifiers still, maybe it’ll be another revolution of how i use my keyboard and it can speed up going to 40%. And honestly i’m struggling to think which other advanced features i could try.

Contrary to my original thoughts there’s not that many layers i can use (currently i have 3 and they are both only about half filled, as for my 7 languages i regularly type in i have to rely on keyboard layouts and IMEs anyway, making a lot of programmable keyboard features unfit for me.
