Between biking to work and back and then going to core & flow at hot yoga, I feel like I sweat out an entire second person today and now me and my sweat spawn are ready to kick everyone’s ass

Our neighbour is doing No Mow May, but I’m on my third mow this May and with each mow I encroach a little deeper into his lawn with my mower. I am The Lawn Bitch.

Here I am once again, watching Roland Garros and simply unable to stop myself from rooting for notorious anti-vaxxer and pal of RFK Jr., Novak Djokovic.

So many people went from never ever biking straight to e-bikes and haven’t bothered to learn a lick of bike lane etiquette. It sure does test my patience! Of which I have lots! But I grow weary…

Both of these birds are majestic in their own right, and both far superior than any nation state. To assign either one as a symbol of a failing human construct is an affront to nature at large. Birds should rule over us!!!

Oh it’s pancake day - I don’t usually eat pancakes, but if I stay at a hotel and the breakfast buffet has one of these pancake machines, I will eat dozens upon dozens of them.

Very, very discouraging to see my employer give himself and his direct reports generous 21-29% raises while we little guys get our annual 0% raise. People in the office were already talking about ‘quiet quitting’ before this news came out - I’m sure a lot more will be considering it now.

The ice!! I made it to yoga this morning, but to get down my sloped, ice-covered street, I had to get into a deep squat, rest my mat on my lap, and push myself down with my hands. Here’s me:

I’ve got a beautiful 2025 calendar at my desk called “Textiles of the Islamic World”. It’s from an Islamic publication, so it doesn’t list a single western holiday, but it does include dates of global importance like Shakira’s birthday and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar’s last game with the Lakers.

Vince Neil has done a lot of bad things and possibly even worse things that we don’t know about - but the way I googled so hard this morn to make sure he wasn’t on his crashed plane is a testament to how deeply Mötley Crüe is etched upon my soul

Annual Super Bowl text from mom. I’m assuming she means Eagles but there was really no context provided.

It’s funny to me when I get on the elevator at work, still wearing my bike helmet, and someone will ask me if I rode my bike to work

Between physiotherapy, shovelling the driveway, and power yoga, my injured shoulder has had a long, hard day and I wish I could just remove my arm and put it back on later. Like Astar, a robot.

Well, I guess I’ll root for the alleged doper over the alleged domestic abuser in this year’s Aussie Open men’s final and then just hope that someday I can root for someone non-problematic before I’m dead maybe

Just witnessed four masked teens rob the liquor store, which livened up my otherwise low-key Saturday. They got away with a bunch of bottles of Disaronno, so I imagine they’ll be enjoying some fine cocktails tonite.

After years of boasting about my superior, neighbourhood-dominating snow clearing skills, I’m now humbled by a shoulder injury and can only watch in anguish as my partner clears the driveway in a manner far below my personal standards.

Was told I’m ‘a monster’ when I was pressed to share my opinion on the sinking of that corny ass tugboat 🤷‍♀️

I had a brief illness when I was in Nazaré in September, so I immersed my body in the frigid North Atlantic ocean and was instantly cured. Just a little reminder that the sea is magic.

Biking over the bridge this morning against 75km wind gusts was somehow much easier than walking one block in the Barrington Street wind tunnel

A woman at yoga didn’t line her mat up with the guide marks on the floor and was way too close to me, so I softly blew on the bottom of her foot each time she stuck it in my face. Not very namaste of me, but rule-breakers must be dealt with accordingly.

I have a habit of just letting Spotify rip all the time, so my Wrapped will inevitably say something like, “you listened to Crazy Train 86,457 times this year”, something I never actively chose to do (but made no attempt to stop)

I have a shoulder injury from an improperly administered flu shot and I’m told it could be permanent. It’s my dominant arm! I use that limb all the time! What if this is my antivax joker moment?!

Never is my right eye ptosis more apparent to me than when I have to take an ID photo for work. It gives me a permanently cocked eyebrow, like I’m always bemused (I am)

Staring at the noticeably dirty feet of the lady in front of me at hot yoga; wondering if the lady behind me is staring at MY noticeably dirty feet
