It wasn’t the writing that took long. An editor sat on it for a year before deciding that it didn’t fit the scope of the journal 😒

Sigh yes. I’m just afraid of disappointing people by not being as intelligent as they think I am. OR coming across as arrogant for accepting the compliment 🥲

This is what I fear. That people will assume that I’m some kind of genius who is good at everything and that is absolutely not the case! I’m smart in a VERY specific way lol

That being said, I also don’t know what the right response to that is. I’ve just been smiling and saying “that’s kind of you to say”. Guess that’s okay enough a thing to say.

I’m not a podcast person either and that’s part of why it took so long to try audiobooks. Audiobooks (when well narrated) make me feel like I’m actually reading the text myself!!
