I took my grandmother's wedding dress (1939) and a woven coverlet (pre-Civil War) I scored for $40 on FB marketplace. I now know how to properly clean them (v. gentle vacuuming) & store them both. I'm really grateful the library had this program, otherwise I might've tried washing both (a bad idea).

It's not owned by a billionaire but could be sold to one, which is why I prefer my Mastodon instance. Bluesky is but one server in the Fediverse; Mstodon has many and they are independently run (except for Threads). Many Masto servers won't federate with Bsky or Threads bc neither is independent.

If efficiency in weaving was the point, you'd have the latest in loom technology, no? For me it's about staying connected to non-automated skills & processes. Also, I have loom envy! I have 2 table looms now but started by making my own backstrap loom, which I'm glad I did.

The breeder: "If you want her ears to stand up, feed her pig ears, if you want ___ for [body part] feed her [body part]. The breeders were in WV and I managed to pick the runt (she has hip dysplasia), so YMMV.
