I spent the morning at Thomas Balch Library learning about "Caring for Textile Heirlooms at Home" presented by two local conservators. The first part was a lecture & then they gave advice on some beautiful textiles the audience brought in. #textileCare #fiberArtist

I just need a snout for this bear eyeglass holder! It's a free pattern on Ravelry that I almost reverse engineered before thinking, "Maybe it's on Ravelry." Warning: the site design has given some folks problems & the owners & designer blew off the concerns & complaints. I try not to use the site.

When she was little, her ears were floppy and the breeder told us to feed he her pig ears to get them to stand up properly - it worked!

I finished the shawl yesterday, my second Cladonia. I don't usually like or wear yellow but this shade reminds me of winter candle light or fire light: the exact light that gets me through the dark winter months. Bonus: this yarn (Manos del Uruguay) is so squishy & bouncy, soft & warm! #knitting

I finished this embroidery last April. It's handspun 🧶 singles on wool felt with watercolor paint in the background of the circles.
I'm gearing up to start my next piece and wish I could skip the design and drawing stage but don't have a daily drawing practice so I don't have a bank of ideas. Hm.

I finished this embroidery last April. It's handspun 🧶 singles on wool felt with watercolor paint in the background of the circles.

I misnamed this embroidery Micelle; it looks more like a 2D liposome - whoops. I couldn't control myself on the French knots & just kept going. It's naturally dyed wool singles 🧶 on cotton twill. It was in Fiber IV, a national, juried show at Libertytown Arts in Fredericksburg, VA. #embroidery
