Sailor Moon is one of the most iconic magical girl anime in history. And the series itself can be pretty dark and disturbing at times. But what if we rewrote Sailor Moon into something a little darker?

This is a fun video that’s a fantastic reimagining of Sailor Moon, namely taking the dark elements that were already there in the show and expanding on them, and doing some interesting things with the show and characters.

I’d love to see an artist do fanart of this take on the Sailor Scouts.

An enjoyable thought experiment, Sailor Moon as Dark Fantasy.

One note, I wouldn't be so quick to move a fight away from a splintering Earth. A glob of escaping mantle taking out a distracted Scout would be a Hell of a way to go, sometimes you're just unlucky.
