It's a collectible. It felt like it resisted being opened thanks to the hardier card, and I'm almost afraid to touch it lest it disintegrate from exposure to my grubby organic tendrils.
Oh, uh, the Skyline is also neat. The mainline one is the wrong blue and a different spec, unfortunately. Eugh.

--for the sake of 'collector appeal' and 'real-life accuracy'. I don't need rubber tires, I don't need full metal construction, I don't need an ultra detailed tampo job. I just wanted the Diablo SV, in these colors, looking good. And this does, but...at the cost of no longer being a toy.

I adore the Diablo SV in this exact deco. Need For Speed III: Hot Pursuit on PS1 was my first video game, with that Diablo on the cover. It's gorgeous, and this Hot Wheels car is too.
But premium Hot Wheels are still a rejection of everything I enjoy about Hot Wheels. Taking all the fun out of it--
