Err on the side of kindness. Love more. When life gets bad, try to remember all the good little things. Anything at all.
You got this...
even when you don't think you do.
I have fibromyalgia and it's the same thing. Some days I can't even get out of bed and then every once in awhile I have so much energy I physically have to expend it. But I like you, I always pay for it the next day.

Those look so healthy and nice! Very pretty

I'm finding as I get older my bottom line is I just want people to be nice or I'm not going to deal with them. Finally realizing they don't get to make that choice, I do.

Great article. As a fellow old, I admire your patience and perseverance in addressing each issue. Love this line the most... it sums up exactly how I feel.

"AI is a plagiaristic lie machine."

For those that might not know, these are chrysanthemum plants and will bloom over and over.

Definitely not at any markets I shop at!

That is the truth! I have Prime too so we watch that also. I swear there's days I want to go back to the limited choices of network TV so I don't have to figure out what to watch 😁

I don't have cable at home, only internet service, so I use the streaming services. I have Disney and Hulu because my son and his family live with me, and have peacock and others that my son subscribes to. I mostly watch the free streaming services like Pluto or Roku (I have a Roku TV).

I've need to finish watching Traitors first, but I've only got a couple episodes left. Stranger Things will will have to be after that. It sounds like it's something you need to sit down and really watch. Betty, do you use any streaming services like Pluto that are free?

Kind of hate to admit it but I've never seen it. Which is a little strange since it's the genre that I would watch

Roscoe has that I-can-see-into-the-depths-of-your-soul look down perfectly. Like he's saying "I've seen some things and they aren't pretty."

I know, it's totally disgusting. Ringling is such an integral part of Sarasota and it will make me even sadder to see that destroyed since commercial graphics is the industry I retired from. Art is so central to downtown and the thought of it becoming another form of propaganda is just sickening.

People don't realize the impact this had locally. It was a source of area pride and DeSantis came in and trampled on everything. Tore down the historic Car Museum for a ballpark nobody wants. Changed the whole focus of what made New College special. There's no coming back from it even when he's gone

The good thing about growing down here is if it doesn't work, and I've killed my fair share of plants, I just replant and try again. Almost all the veggies are from seeds. My son and his wife, along with two of my grandchildren, live with me and help out a lot with watering and planting.

I am in Florida just south of Tampa Bay in the US. I just love meeting people on here that I wouldn't have gotten a chance to get to know before the internet.

Yes we do. It is a pleasure to "meet" you Sinead. My name is actually Stacy, Macwench is from my old computer days.

That is awesome! I would love to grow a Yucca. Thanks for the idea... I think I might give it a try. My green thumb has only grown since I retired. I spend almost every morning in the greenhouse

I channel my inner grandmother who had a room dedicated to all her plants and my grandfather who had a full vegetable garden, apple trees and strawberries in the middle of town back when nobody did that. I have no idea how I make those things grow but somehow I do most of the time.

I like JKR in the same way that I like scooping the gross stuff out of the strainer basket in the sink after doing dishes.

The best part is they were both gifted to me. The grocery store that supplies my daughter's Church pantry also donates all of their unsold plants that they would have trashed. My daughter brings the ones that nobody takes and I bring them back to life.

That's why there will never be enough guardrails to make AI okay for me. Maybe I'm just an old lady that wants the old ways and is howling at the Moon. But I truly mourn for what is lost /end
December 24, 2025 at 3:28 PM
My point is we learned from the generation before us. We took the new technologies and adapted them to create our new style of layout and Design that built on that instead of stealing it. AI didn't do that. Instead it stole the work of others and manipulated it while pretending it was something new
