Won't rest until he has inspected every suspicious-looking nook and cranny.
Fun, short game. Controls felt a bit iffy on 3DS, but it wasn't particularly punishing, so I could deal with it fine. Funny profile write-ups for the ghosts, too!

A very neat game, though some of the implied narrative was lost on me until the ending. And then much of the ending was lost on me as well. In terms of Ueda works, I do like Ico better.

I don't know if it's because I more-or-less know how the game's systems work or if the Pixel Remaster is a lot more forgiving, but this version of the game felt incredibly easy, laughably so. Which is a shame, because it does a lot of good QoL stuff.

This was probably my favourite game, it was interesting to see just how many levels I remembered and how far into the game I remembered them. A decent version too, though I prefer the original music over whatever remixes they included, it just sounds more... industrial.

An interesting game. The Remembrance and Analysis sections I particularly liked, but the Destruction RTS/TD mode felt like a chore in comparison, even on the lowest difficulty setting. Somehow my first Vanillaware game, some of that reputation really shone through...

The game has a certain novelty that comes with playing a Virtual Boy game, but having played the later Wario Land games, it just feels a bit safe and same-y. Neat, but not Switch peripheral-level neat.

I can't help but compare this game to Snatcher, and I think it comes up short. The premise of Snatcher I think is stronger, though Policenauts certainly is more cinematic. It's also several times more verbose (halting gameplay) and horny (halting motivation). Worthwhile, but flawed.

Actually my first Kojima game! The story and intrigue are very good, and the look into a possible future shows what could (have) be(en). Unfortunately Act 3 is a bit of a letdown, honestly feels grafted on; rather any ending than the cliffhanger of the PC-88/MSX2 original, I suppose!

For another Mega May I wanted to hit up another Mega Man collection, so here we finish classic. These games continue to not take prisoners, sometimes to their detriment. I miss rewinding...

Wanted a short game to tide me over until May, so I skipped ahead to this classic. It's even shorter than I remember, but it's still a great game. The lack of the remake's postgame content really stings though, I like those dungeons a lot.

This sure is an incredible experience, but as a game... many of the systems feel frustrating, and the original NTSC PS2 release compounded on them. I like it, but I could go for like... half as much combat in this game. Otherwise it's just a very, very neat game.

Final Fantasy XIV is just multiplayer IX. They have the same design ethos playing the Greatest Hits.

The gameplay is good and the humour is actually mostly amusing. Unfortunately, the story builds on a game everybody agrees nobody should play and the game suffers for it. Definitely had more potential than what was realised, but worth at least one play.

Picked this one up again after softlocking myself a while ago and it's very neat. Very trial-and-error at times, but it doesn't particularly punish you for it. All in all it's just... neat.
