Every wondered what it looks like under the Sydney Harbour Bridge? Here's a glimpse of one end. It is a constant cycle of maintaince all year round for rust & other things. It takes 5 yrs for one full coat of paint on every part of the bridge including nuts and bolts!

Uluru at sunrise, the geographical centre of Australia. Uluru is a sacred site for the Anangu people, climbing is prohibited. The surface of Uluru becomes a plethora of waterfalls during rainy season. It doesnt seem so big in photos, but it is.

In the past I had time to restore old photos. I found it quite relaxing. Took me a while for this one but the end result was well worth it. A soldier who served in WW1. Hopefully I'll get back into it!

Petunia atkinsiana (Garden Petunia) are a favourite in many gardens (including mine!) with many colours & patterns to chose from. A hardy flowering plant that loves sunlight & basic watering. Interesting fact; their name comes from the French word 'Pétun'

The Ta'ovala is a traditional woven mat worn by the people of Tonga. There are different Ta'ovala for different occasions. A Ta'ovala can be passed down from generation to generation. To wear it is a connection to the land itself.

5 generations have looked out these balcony doors onto the rooftops and hills of Sicily. The view has not changed but the sounds have. Chimneys & horse drawn carts replaced by antennas & electric cars. One thing remains, the aroma of freshly brewed coffee every morning.

'Medusa' painted by Caravaggio c.1597. Baroque painting on a curved wooden shield. Caravaggio was known as a complex & violent person, yet he was a prominent artist of his generation. Standing infront of this painting is quite extraordinary.

In La Serenissima (Venice) watching a Gondola glide by is a very soothing. Gondoliers make about €100,000 (give or take for expenses etc). It may seem like an easy occupation, it is not. Learning the craft, the rules and infinite patience of tourists who don't always listen.

English Blue Staffy are most probably the most golden hearted of the 'Canus Lupus familiaris'. They are extremely affectionate and loyal to their families, having the nickname the 'Nanny dog', however they can be quite stubborn and don't believe in personal space 😁

The Uffizi Gallery, Florence was authorised by Cosimo I De Medici, designed by Giorgio Vasari and constructed between 1560 - 1580. Uffizi translates to Offices (in modern italian it would be Uffici). I found booking tickets on line made entry less tiring.
