Gotta love insurance companies. They've been taking our money for years with little payouts. Now they need help when expected to actually pay out. Seems like maybe you should have planned for this instead of paying out to your shareholders.

To which they would respond with, "The kids need to earn the money to eat lunch somehow. Otherwise, we would be paying for their parents' failings, and that would be...*cue scary music*...socialist."
Even as their own kids do fuck all to earn their privilege.

I mispronounce things all the time because I grew up in the Midwest, and we have a lazy accent in that we just eliminate the pronunciation when it's hard to pronounce (library said as libary, clothes said as close). So I would never presume I'm the one who is pronouncing something right.

Good luck trying to convince a jury of peers he deserves to die.
His target did surprise me. I get a CEO is the figurehead of an organization, but usually, they are at the mercy of a board who control them and will fire them for not making said board and shareholders enough money. I'm just saying.

Absolutely! I live by the rule that if I'm not feeling it by 1/4 to 1/3 of the way in the book; I'm moving on. I started this after forcing myself to finish a book, and then I didn't want to read again for almost 4 months.

And worse representation that doesn't even CARE to see the struggle of the people they represent. Unless you have been in the position of not knowing whether you'll have enough money to pay bills this month, you can't really understand the majority of Americans' struggles.

For too long, the real issue has been hidden by non-issues used to keep us fighting amongst ourselves instead of focusing on the fact that we have the power. Even without money, we are the masses. We shouldn't stand for representation that can't understand the struggle of those they represent.

When I'm good, I'm very good; when I'm bad, I'm better.

In a perfect world... which is far from what we have right now 🤣

I wonder if we should ask the millions of women they murdered in the name of witchcraft if they thought it was just PR.

I am using movie references for simplicity; there are a lot of examples in video games as well (CoD being the biggest one that comes to mind).

Absolutely. I wonder if creative arts produced by companies should be limited to "not for profit". It could be a way to see if we as consumers get quality over quantity (i.e. more indie and plot based vs. sequel after sequel of the next superhero or most recent fad movie that made money.)

The struggle of masking vs. just withdrawing is real.
