Good for them; I hope more cities and states follow.

When you control the message, you control the people; it's trends like those below that should serve as warnings of things to come.

And now we become like the countries that they've conditioned us to fear, a country that is hand fed information only they want us to see. Welcome to the land of the no longer free.

Also can someone please explain to me how one person's, who was in no way connected to the government, part of a protected class, or had any federal reason to be a target, murder is an act of terrorism? Terrorism for who?

And now they will pay desperate people to make their narrative true. Use this to try to distract everyone again from the real issue that people are this desperate in America while others are living large.

I'm not surprised that the Seattle area was one of the first to have this type of public display of support. Like SF, we have a unique blend of a bunch of CEOs who live here with the homeless who can't afford to live here alongside the rest of us, just barely scraping by.

I'm not sure if it's recent events or more people reaching the end of their ropes that are causing the uptick in posts on this platform about the real issue in America. It's refreshing to see.

You wonder why there are homeless people, read on...

Since suffering from what I now know as autism burnout, I have been trying to prioritize my mental health. After suffering from extreme physical symptoms due to stress from my toxic work environment, I decided to take a medical leave.

How does Israel keep getting away with blatant genocide and invasion of other countries?

Oh yeah, cause the world still feels guilty over events almost a hundred years ago, so it'll allow Israel to repeat them.

We spent $820.3 billion in 2023 to fund the military used to pick fights with other countries, patrol the world (like we know best), and spend almost none of that budget on our vets & current service members.

However, we spent $274.3 billion on education, which is required of all citizens under 16.

In my opinion:
The difference between the start of this revolution compared to previous revolutions... we can start protests and discussions online to reach broader audiences faster than marching in the streets and hoping media would cover it and more would follow. Thanks Bluesky 😆

Happy Thanksgiving, everyone. Today, let's fill our feeds with everything we are grateful for in our lives. I'll start...

My family
My friends
Eating a good meal
The arts (music, art, literature entertainment, etc.)

And I'm grateful every day I wake up in the morning still able to live my life.

Haegum, a song by an artist wise beyond his years (but yes part of the K-pop industry), came on my speaker a moment ago. The lyrics and song are very relevant in today's times. So, I want to remind everyone to ignore the rhetoric & sensationalism; form opinions based on your own values and beliefs.

Can anyone recommend a news feed or independent news outlet?

I'm tired of reading items that should be labeled as OpEd being passed off as facts with no "in my opinion" qualifiers or only reporting the facts that support their opinions.

Poll for everyone: Are you a reader who reads just one book at a time vs. a reader who is reading multiple books simultaneously, maybe even across multiple media (i.e., in print, e-book, audiobook)?

Does no one else notice we are slowly becoming an enemy of the world linked to Israel and Russia? These are the things we should be concerned about, not someone's political affiliation. Yes, Trump in power is scary, but it's blindly following what your party "tells" you to vote that got us here.

You want to claim that humans "own" the earth, fine.
You want to divide that earth into separate territories, fine.
Then you want the people that happen to love or be born into these countries that they have to pay in order to have shelter to live, not fine.

Food for Thought:
In a world of gray, why are there still only 2 parties to choose from our elections? We have the PACs backed by corporations determining what's best for the nation and its people. They are fueled by a need to retain power or not let the other party have it. MLK, Jr. said it best...
