@thatshawng.bsky.social I saw your article in IVN (I hope that's you!) and I had a comment. Do we know for certain that NYS's obscure ballot initiative law (that only applies to chartered cities) doesn't apply to NYC? Did they pass a superceding law to create the CRC?

A party of current non-voters would beat any other party at this point.

How do we build a system where they want to engage?

We want ranked choice voting (or STAR) and proportional representation in the CA Senate.

More viable parties would make politics relevant to more people.
