I remember Keith informing me of his new struggle with cancer. In those last months, I had been struggling with depression so we communicated less. I do not know how he experienced his last months, but I would like to imagine he did with the same tenacity and good humor for which I treasured him.

We helped each other to move house multiple times. I will remember Keith for his sunny disposition, ruthless punning, and readiness to help.

After first meeting Keith through work, we soon became friends. We connected online to play Minecraft, No Man's Sky, and Outward during 2020, and as our precautions lifted Keith was one of my first friends to visit in person for board games.

I saw Keith was a very well educated engineer who was struggling with nervousness, and I encouraged him to preservere to become the valuable team member I knew he would become. When I heard he'd been hired by Proofpoint I was very happy for his accomplishment.

At the time Keith joined our team I had become a "subject matter expert" and mentor to the newer techs, so my first connections with Keith were in that role.

Before I begin, I'm composing this reflection to honor our friendship. I met Keith through work, at Sutherland Global Services, where we served Proofpoint's customers.

Here, here. I feel compassion for my friends who would tell me they avoid Politics because the atmosphere here has been toxic and thin of oxygen for a long time. But it's not Politics they hate but the bad air.
