Started this last night figuring I'd just read a few pages before bed and read the first third! Fantastic so far and I'm trying to save the rest of it for an IV infusion tomorrow but we'll see if I make it!
🚨TODAY IS THE DAY🚨

Racket puts out nothing but heaters and I extra love this one! I said I'd probably cancel my sub once I moved from the cities but I just can't help it! They're so good! Subscription dollars well spent!

Buncha dipshits about the DoE, which doesn't decide curriculum: "ABOLISH THE DEPT OF ED, FEDS CAN'T DECIDE WHAT'S TAUGHT!"

The very same dipshits: this

Guess I'll add this to the list of things I'll call my reps about tonight!

I forget where I read (I think Against Technoableism by Ashley Shew?) the thought that a harm against disabled ppl in our society is the loss of privacy/information because we need to give up so much to get things we need to survive and I think about that all the time

This story is wild and an important read. Also a great reason to plug donating to propublica! One of my favorite recurring donations every month because they do such incredible work!
Outraged by the Jan. 6 Capitol riot, a wilderness survival trainer spent years undercover climbing the ranks of right-wing militias.

He didn’t tell police or the FBI. He didn’t tell family or friends. The one person he told was ProPublica reporter @josh-kaplan.bsky.social.

It was this or the dog in the burning house gif, we're spoiled with options!

But really, spent the weekend moving and part of it was great bc friends just showed up on masks and helped, part sucked bc some family questioned "when we were gonna get over this masking/COVID things"

Talia's writing is always so incredible and I really appreciated this today.
Today, I translated four poems by Sophia Parnok, an out, horny Russian lesbian poet who lived and loved through a revolution, a civil war, and the rise of a repressive dictator. In style.

Enjoyed a CocaCola tall boy and gas station egg burrito sitting on a rock off the main strip in town because doing anything while strangers are going through your house to maybe buy it is a profoundly weird experience

It's incredible how hard it is to thread the needle of "holiday/new years card that isn't agressively religious, hilariously serious, nor looks like it was designed by Baz Luhrmann in the lead up to 'The Great Gatsby'". I just want to send people silly pictures of my cat!
