many people suggest apple bitters on the cords. Generally you need to distract and reward when the scratch the right thing by having a scratcher you want them to scratch near where they shouldn't and reward when they scratch it.

Thanks for this, I went about making a list of tadpoolers and then found it too cumbersome. I think this is what I wanted.

Better than me. I took the carbs off my motorcycle, cleaned them with an ultrasonic cleaner, and put them back and one of the bowls leaks now. Luckily I had a parts bike and those carbs don't leak.
